List three useful things, ideas, or concepts learned from this course.
“Very eye-opening course”
“Attending a course that is taught by someone who is not only extensively experienced, but who is also hard of hearing and visually impaired is an incredible way to deeply understand the subject.”
— K.L.
“I feel I’ll be able to help my patients better!”
“Three useful things I’ve learned from this class are different ways to communicate with patients that are hard of hearing, signs to look out for to see if someone is hard of hearing, and ways that I can improve to be the most helpful possible to those who are hard of hearing.”
— M.V.
How to communicate with those hard of hearing.
Better understanding of how they communicate.
Understand hearing aids more.
— T.W.
“Everything we wanted and more.”
“My husband is slowly becoming deaf, I appreciated the idea of using new words to communicate things to him. Also, our family is guilty of telling him it is not important when he doesn’t hear family chatter. I am going to stop doing this. We just got him hearing aids, and I am excited to support him as he gets used to wearing them. I am now clued into the fact that they may need to be adjusted more than once to work.”
— A.B.
“Unforgettable.”
Wonderful class. Glad I chose this one. With a long history as an RN, many concepts were familiar. Good to know types of HA’s are currently available Thankful to have met such an amazing teacher.
— A.L.

“Surprisingly kept my focus”
"Honestly, I think it was well done. I’m neurodivergent and it managed to keep me interested which sometimes is not easy. I learned new things that I wouldn’t have thought about or known. It was good to learn more on ways I can communicate better with my hard of hearing patients.”
- C.L.
